Advantages of FZ50 over S9500/9600: optical image stabilization, TTL external flash.

Advantages of S9500/9600 over FZ50: slightly better noise control, dual card slot.

Other differences (S9500/9600 vs FZ50) : CF/xD vs SD cards, more wide vs more tele, AA batteries vs Lithium batteries.

The price of the two is about the same: Around $900 for S9600 and $935 for FZ50, both with GST at MS Color.

i can't really rem d shop name... all i noe is tat once u come up from the escalator, turn right... it's in between the escalator n d lift... if i rem correctly, the shops interior is white colour... and the background of the shop's name is oso in white... can't exactly rem d shop's name... wil try to post it up if i happen to drop by sim lim these few days...

A qn for those experts: I heard for the same model, the cam can be made in diff countries (eg, Japan vs China)

Does Lumix cams also like that? And how can I avoid parrallel import set?

don really have to worry about parrallel import. as long as it have 1yr local warranty, you are safe. (for at least the 1st yr) :bsmilie:
if im not wrong grey set doesn't contain any warranty card.

well, i'm pretty sure my hearin didn't fail me... anyway, i've had 2-3 shops quotin me @ either 850 or 860 in SLS... anyways, u can oways head on down n check if u're free...

I went Cathay Photo @ Marina Sq last sun. The guy quoted me 940 with free normal 512mb and case......damn ex!
