Funny things in premiere pro and soundbooth

This thing happened to me recently;

The feature of editing audio in Soundbooth for Adobe Premiere CS3 really is a dream come true for me, because I have to remove lots of noise from video.

So on the timeline, rightclicking the audio clip would give you the option of 'editing in Adobe Soundbooth'.

Very neat! I edit and save the clip to Soundbooth, and it saves and overwrites the audio file with the edited one on the timeline! So far so good...and in the import bin it too provides the file. I save the working project file.

Until, I realise I want to do a SECOND edit in Soundbooth the day after.

Opening premiere gives a greyed out 'edit in Soundbooth' meaning I can't edit but very luckily, the audio file is provided in Premiere bin....I have to sieve out the audio file among hundreds of others, link it to the video clip and then edit again.

Did I self pwn? Isn't it straightforward that I can edit my audio clips twice??//

Update: 5 mins later....

I have self pwned....

I found out that the edited audio clips have to be manually 'unlinked' from the video clips in order to continue the editing in Soundbooth...

Wonders of wonders.

Thank you Adobe Premiere! I'm still stuck with you all these years. You have been like a eccentric girlfriend to me; I can't stand your quirks, but I can't live without you *from video editing point of view*

I find that the keying in Premiere cs3 has improved greatly.
Previously, I still had to import to Adobe After Effects, but now I find myself just adjusting the sliders.

Also note that adding a background makes the keying much more pleasant looking. . .

One thing about Premiere which I want to bitch about is;

I think either I'm a uber noob which I still haven't found out about the features or Premiere really is that clueless in making our lives easier.

How come Premiere doesn't make our lives easier by dividing the captured video into clips for us automatically? I mean like, video logging should be a thing of the past...

Things about Sony Vegas that's better than Premiere - auto making of clips from captured video, easy editing and importing of DVD discs, and easy editing of clips from HDD cameras.

So that's Sony Vegas with 3 points in this area, and Premiere with 1.

Sony Vegas wins in capturing and editing video.
