Full frame vs Cropped Sensor camera for video

6D skips lines when recording video. This is not the case for 5D Mk III plus in April 5D MkIII will be giving you clean HDMI output in the 4:2:2 colour space, which in principle will give you much better quality than compressed footage. Go for 5D MK III if you can afford it. Large sensor gives you a very different "feel" than smaller sensors.
Hi daniyal

Hey, thanks bro that actually made alot of sense.

Yes, It did not occur to me that wide angle lenses will do more damage in small spaces. I will read more on the 6D. And if my pocket permits will get one. Thanks a bunch for sharing man! appreciate it :)

I'm using primarily FF (CamA) + CF (CamB) for most projects.

FF DOF is completely different but its to be use sparingly IMO.

If you are looking for Value for money, the current champion is Nikon 5100, not Gh3. But again, you need to be buying nikon lenses which is tough if you are used to canon systems.

End of the day, if you have a good story to tell and edit them well. Whatever cam is fine if you use it well.

*By the way, Daniyal, 6D is FAR away from 5D3 in terms of video quality, moire & ISO. Its neither here or there so avoid at all costs. Looking at it doesn't work, must go in & edit then you will see the differences.

Cheers

Most DSLRs uses a standard compression rate for their video function so video quality doesn't differ much from different models. Only difference is ISO increment and dynamic range for individual camera model.

psalmanazar & XsenseX >>> My bad. I was comparing 6D with my 60D. In no way, 6D is far more superior than 5DM3. Because seriously, 5DM3 ISO is so powerful that when you pushed the ISO to 25600, to my eyes, the footages are usable unlike my 60D, anything beyong ISO 2500, to me, too much noise and pixelated. Plus, Aliasing and Moire is ALL GONE for 5DM3 based on my experience of 16 hours shooting with it. In a way, 6D is slightly better than 5DM2. All your points are valid Brothers. The only thing that I dun like about 5DM3 and 6D, it doesn't have the swivel screen. I am so used to the Swivel Screen.

aikaramba86 >>> Every product has its own plus and minus. Take your time in purchasing one. All the posts by other forumers will have you make the most informed decision. That's how I purchase 60D after a month browsing through Clubsnap for info about a year ago. You are spoilt with choices. Hheheheheh...
