Fujifilm X100S Out-of-warranty repair cost

Hi all in ClubSnap,

Would like to ask for advice here.

Had a used Fujifilm X100S, bought from another CSer a while back. The camera just froze during use, and brought it to service centre for repair evaluation.

This is what was quoted by Fujifilm Service centre.

From Fujifilm Svc Centre.SN190210006876,Service Fee:$100.00,CONST TOP:$80.00,MAINPWB_ASSY:$80.00,GST:$18.20,Total:$278.20.Pls reply with '1' to accept or '2' to reject.

Have checked an older thread and it seems that the service fee of $100 is standard.

Is the cost justifiable or outside repairs are more affordable ? Thanks.

depends on how much you paid for it. 2nd-hand X100s on CS is still going for about $700-800 region. X100T is still going for about $1k+. the latest X100f is going for north of $2k.

I think it is justifiable assuming the repair is executed well. You get warrant for doing the repair as well.
This is about half the price of a used 100s ...
