I just read that Fuji Neopan400 is going to be discontinued after the current production run... sigh, there goes another quality film.
Anyone using Neopan400, its time to stock up.

I balked at the $8 price at Adelphi but I know that no place will sell much lower. Even from overseas, there is not much cost savings and not worth the trouble. No choice, see if Ilford wants to pick up the slack.

where did you get the news of the discontinuation? From what I know is 120 has been discontinued, not the 35mm.

I got the news via various discussions on flickr, etc. I guess we'll have to await the announcement from Fuji.
Just as a side note, and I know this sounds like I'm trying to profit from this posting, but I'm not....
I have 13 rolls sitting in my freezer with an expiration of April 2013. I absolutely dislike Neopan400 and would be happy to part with it.
If you like this film and dont mind picking it up from the East Coast area, drop me a PM.
I will icepack the film for transportation, that way the film wont thaw out and you could probably keep it indefinitely.

Fuji has announced that only ACROS 100 will be supported for black and white (along with their price increase announcement).

Btw, peek! sells neopan for $7.50.

so i guess its official... price increase for acros?? how much is it going to be? silver price has come down a lot from its peak and has since stabilized, i wonder what reasons they will give for increasing prices now.
2 years ago, the common excuse was that the spike in silver prices resulted in film price increase... now silver prices come down... still got price increase?

Just started doing film again and was a bit disoriented looking at the prices these days .... not surprising the way everything is rising in cost, but it still set me back a bit.

Anyway, was not a fan of Neopan 400 (I only use it for emergency), but am a big fan of Neopan 1600.

And I think Acros is a very good Fuji film, although I used it mostly on medium format ... nice to know it's in SG, I had to buy them overseas some time back due to non-availability here ...

.

Yup, I remember film used to be in the 4.50 to 6 range... gosh, i think now its in the 7-9 range?

Considering the price of silver has increased three fold since five years ago, I'd think the price now is still alright.
