I personally understand the pain of being low-balled for event photography jobs. It shocked me that some of my better photographer friends are shooting for McDonalds pay!
My company has managed to secure a steady stream of decent photography opportunities from our clients on regular basis. At the moment, the kind of photo assignments can be simple indoor architecture photography or event photography / videography assignments. No weddings.
