Four-Thirds investment - need advice

Sorry, YOU said "Olympus", and that's what we were talking about, not Leica and not Sigma.

OLYMPUS has announced a super-wide "standard" lens but it's not planned until 2008.

Affordable wide angle lens won't affect me too much since i use tele more.

Tele is easier to obtain with four-thirds due to the 2x multiplication factor...getting wider is a lot harder and more expensive (so far).

For instance I own in OM mount 80-200, 500mm, and a OM 2x converter giving me up to 1000mm. I tried an OM 16mm fisheye, but it looked just as wide as the 14-45mm set at 14mm, and the fisheye effect was cancelled out! I also own some OM primes, 50mm and 28mm.

If you want a fisheye without buying ZD Fisheye is buying a Peleng 8mm F3.5 Fisheye(~250 US$) + M42-4/3 adapter(30US$ on ebay).

I think mike already knows all that. ;)

Yup, I even know of two Peleng dealers in Canada...one in Toronto (the city where I live), and one in Ottawa (where a former girlfriend lives).

BUT, unlike the Peleng the lens that Olympus has announced ISN'T a prime...it's supposed to be an 8-16mm zoom.
