My mother has found an old Yashica MG-1 in the storeroom. Apparently she had bought it back in the mid 80s. However, the camera was too complicated for her need and so she just put it back in its package, chuck it somewhere in the storeroom without a dry box and forgot all about it. Now the camera is dusty, with the glasses all fogged up and dirty. The lenses seem dirty as well. I am thinking of sending the camera for checking and maintenance. Is it economical to do so? Where can I send it for maintenance? Thanks. :)

WO WO WO an MG-1!!!!

keep it...ask for maintenance fee at The Camera Workshop at peninsula...they too showcase an MG-1 there.

If you have not use it...well i'm holding a yashica gsn right now...you can view the pic quality of the gsn at http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=76134

check out the www.yashica-guy.com for DIY repairs and of course, ask this guy Patch17...he owns 8 yashicas!!!! :D

Thanks.
Do you or anyone know roughly how much the maintenance fee would be? Is The Camera Workshop dependable? I'm a newbie in these.

you would really be better off bringing it down for a quote.

Ok, I'll bring down the camera tomorrow to get a quote. Thanks! :)
