Hey all

here's our fly by night 2009 entry No Right Turn, the concept came about when they blocked the pedestrian crossing from Borders to Ion.

this is the response we got from another forum

Hmmmm yeh I duno if I really liked it sorry. The music wasnt very good, the subtitles were off, and the color correction made to footage look worse. Sorry not tryign to pull your production down, I'm just giving you my honest opinion.

Just goes to show you can't win'em all. I tried to explain that the subtitles were in "singlish" to the forum user but they didn't get it hah!
Thanks for the comments guys, can't decide whether to send this in to SIFF or work on another short film idea

i think its all depend on the direction that you are heading. I think the music and color flow with the story for the video. its supposed to bring along a sense of humor and simplicity.
there is always room for improvement, but lets help to encourage one another.

Cut it shorter, i find it a little draggy at times. Make it slick and short =)

Yup i totally agree with that one, the cuts could have been tighter and also the delay between action and dialogue could have been faster.

I like the Teochew part; her mother admonishing her. :thumbsup: Sounds so familiar in everyday life.

"Ah girl, why are you lidat?........u make my heart breaks."

Wish there are more of that kind of dialogue in the film. I am Teochew. :bsmilie:
