TECH said:hi guys , i am very tempted to get a D7D ... just need to ask ... is the D7D able to trigger the 3600HS(D) wirelessly with TTL without attaching any extra trigger device? (what i am trying to say is it wireless TTL trigger from body?)
steel said:I am thinking of switching to digital too. Wireless flash is not a problem with Dynax 7D. But what about the ratio flash? is the D7D able to perform the 1/3 off camera and 2/3 WL flash juz like my Old film Dynax? If D7D can do this, I am really going digital... ;p
Drudkh said:I'm afraid that the wireless will not work if you are using a bracket. When the 3600/5600 is switched to wireless mode, the red plastic cover has to be facing or in line-of-sight with the camera's built-in flash.
The wireless mode is not using radiowaves but triggered by the camera's built-in flash.

Drudkh said:Cool, so basically the flash (3600/5600) needs to catch the camera's built-in flash to activate, but provided the light bounced back. If there's no wall anything to bouce the light, the flash will not be triggered.
UY79 said:True for some flash brackets. It's still better to use a offshoe cord in case the flash can't pick up the signal. 60 bucks investment to save those shots.
Cheers!
Yes, it can be used with all new Minolta digital cameras since Dimage 5 onwards.lkf73 said:I was wondering if the 5600HS flash can be used for the new Minolta Digital camera, like the D7D, A1, A2, A200?
They are the same thing.lkf73 said:What is the difference between the 5600HS and the 5600HS(D)?
Which flash model is it?lkf73 said:I am concern if I upgrade to a Minolta Digital camera, my old flash cannot be used anymore.

that's why i bought the cable. ;p it saves the camera's batt as well.Agetan said:Well, all you really need to do is put a piece of small white card on your camera when in-built flash is raised, then the white card will transmit the info to the flash that is on the bracket above it...
It works for me... but if you have extra $$$ it is worthwhile to get the cable.

it doesn't matter. it still uses the flash bulb which still requires power. worse, its using full flash power since it don't even know where is the wireless flash.TME said:Does it save a lot of battery power? Cos I thought it only needs a pulse of light of the right frequency and coding.
