Got another query; the cap that is used to cover the flash contact point on the camera body - are replacements for these little plastic things available for purchase? They seem pretty easy to misplace - ugh.

There is a little holder for this flash cap on the camera strap so that you don't easily misplace it. This flash cap holder is the same device used to block the viewfinder from stray lights if you are using bulb exposure for extended period of time.

I have never bothered to use that cap... why do u need it?:dunno:

I was thinking about the resale value later on if I ever need to sell it away second hand. Some folks are completists and want every cap and hook that came with the original box ya'know :)

Thanks for the tip on the strap; but in the event that the cap does get misplaced, are there any shops that sell a replacement?

Other than this; I've used the 5D for a month now, and it's every bit as advertised - takes great pictures, problem free, and the autoremap function is a godsend - it mapped out a hot pixel from my unit just a few days ago.:)
