Give a try on the cannoet QL17

One of the best fixed lens RF

Yup, i heard good reviews on Canon QL17 GIII, sharp and one of the best around.. together with Yashica 35 GSN, Konica S3 etc.. guess fixed lens is a better option start off my rangerfinder journey. How abt Voigtlander Bessa RF?

i think with your budget of 1K , you can go for changeable lens rangefinder.

actually not over 5-600+ to be exact... cause stil new and its diff from DSLR so dont really want to jump straight into those high end RF.

500-600 Budget with lens or without? If u r buying one to see if u can get used to rf shooting, i recommend a fixed lens rf. Otherwise a used bessa body alone will set u back ard 500-600.

if u just want to try, i suggest u join rf.sg outing, dun waste money.

if u got 1k, can used bessa

but note that u need to budget for film, development, scanner etc depending how indie u wanna be

can also look at Contax G1 if you want interchangeable lens type.

Thanks for all the suggestions and advice, managed to get one RF today. Hope to join the RF.sg outing in near future, now trying to get used to it :)

Which one? and what are your experiences now?

Got myself a Canon QL17 GIII for a start. Good experience shooting in film again, last shoot in film (B/W) was in my Lasalle days. Will move to other rangefinder cam in future

If you would be happy with an older camera, look for a Kodak Retina III. These are fitted with a Schneider Xenon f2 lens.
