Agreed. It feels somewhat like a toy, though better than the compacts I've used in the past. Even though the feel is plastic, it seems durable enough, and it definitely does its job well. In recent times I've taken to hunting for a vintage film camera which would undoubtedly feel nicer in some respects, but it'll also be heavier. For the weight-conscious traveller, the 350D plus a kit lens is excellent.
