1st gen of minolta SLR is SR to what I know. 9000 & 7000 are AF SLR! :bigeyes:

I think should be older than me!

Hmm... I thought that the first generation of Minolta SLR are those with a fixed lens one? Think it's even before SRT101B lor...

As The_Cheat notices, the subject should be "first generation _AF_ minolta SLR"... ;-) But sure, I am definitely using my Minolta 9000 and am actually longing for a XD or XG series camera! And this comes from a 9, 9xi and 7 owner... it's just something about those older cameras!

magnus, I still like the shutter and the sound of XD cameras...I find it very soft and pleasing.... :bsmilie: I have a DX-7 too.

Ooooh, I'm envious... I'd very much like a XD-7... preferrably a black XD-7... with the winder and a nice covering from http://www.cameraleather.com/...

The XE and XD series used a metal shutter which is quieter than the other's cloth shutters. Nice!

Hi Bro Vader, ya it's me...Just like to compare with any 9000 users, not sure if mine working well... Sometimes the DOF will work, sometimes not, manual rewind a bit rough..Hi Magnus, anything to share ?.. :thumbsup:

It's hard to diagnose cameras over the 'net... but the rewind of any manual camera tends to be quite rough, and the 9000 is no exception. Maybe the camera just needs a cleaning?
