thanks to all the guys over here and at the traditional darkroom forum for helping me with my relentless questions on film, negatives and the process of developing and stuff.. after a few months of research, and finally getting the necessary equipment, i got a roll of kodak tmax processed in ilfosol 3, and scanned by epson v600.. results are pretty good for me, and for the first time, i think! shots are not that great by themselves as i just shot through the roll in a bit of a hurry.. but here are some of them

the chemical stuff. lol

Can you help me know... please

1) What chemicals are needed. Bare minimum is fine for me
2) Where did you get it
3) How much did it cost

i got the stuff in bangkok, actually

1. im using the bare minimum already - film developer and fixer - stop bath and wetting agent are optional chemicals, but i couldnt carry all that on my flight :D
im using Ilford Ilfosol 3 developer, and Ilford Rapid Fixer - and i used distilled water for the final wash, instead of wetting agent..and normal water instead of stop bath

2. got em in bangkok like i said, but of course u can get in SG. bit unfamiliar with photo stores in SG, but i think Ruby or Cathay Photo are the guys who carry Ilford

3. 1L of fixer and 2x 500ml of developer cost me just under USD35 - should be the same in singapore

and a few more

hope i got off most of the dust. i find it hard to keep dust off even new negs. and dust removal via scanning doesnt seem to work that well even on my color shots (and i know it doesnt work on b/w) but i think i managed to remove most of it via lightroom

first time using Tmax 100 - im liking it

Try blowing the negs with a blower just before scanning. Works for me. :)

that makes sense. so far iv reduced the dust on scans by wiping the negs gently with a microfibre cloth and/or blowing with my mouth. a blower would do a better (and drier) job, i bet :D

I use magic wipe cloth that picks up dust to wipe the surface of my scanner and film before each scan.

few more shots that i developed in another roll - fuji neopan acros (my fav b/w film so far) developed in the same Ilfosol - taken on my canon P rangefinder
