Filter price?

Does anyone knows what is the price for these filters (77mm size) ?

1. Hoya MRC UV
2. Hoya MRC Circular Polariser
3. B+W MRC UV
4. B+W MRC Circular Polariser

Need to know what is the cost diff btw Hoya and B+W.

no MRC for Hoya, the higher end starts from HMC, S-HMC and Pro-1. The Pro-1 is around the price of B+W MRC, probably slightly higher.

How much for the normal Hoya HMC?

I was told that for DSLR, Slim filters are not necessary useful. Is this valid (esp for wide-angle lens)?

I am using the "normal" (non-slim) version for my 12-24mm, no problem with vignetting. But for film or full-frame digital body, might need the slim version.

Went to CP yesterday. B+W filter MRC (77mm) are all out of stock. One guy tried to get me to buy the one w/o MRC.... Is it advisable?

Just bought the B+W MRC UV-Haze Slim (77mm) at $95 @ CP today. :thumbsup:

Only con is that I can't use my Canon Lens cap with the Slim filter...sigh... :cry:
