There's a shop "Alex"(?) on second floor of Peninsula that sells Kenko multicoated 67mm UV filters. He quoted me $25 last I went.

Alex Photo?

yup, Alex Photo.

Mmm Kenko is the same as Hoya but advise is to get Hoya Super HMC and not the Multi-coated or UV Guard ones. Alternatively just get a B&W.

Thanks guys.... Will checkout TK and Alex photo today evening... :)

What about Cokin UV lens, is this a good lens? Please advise :)

Hi nikor_d,

I believe you mean filter, not lens?

AFAIK, all UV filters are the same. I put UV filters on my lenses more for protection than anything else.

Yes Hewland, you're right, its filter and not lens.Thank you. :)

I'm surprised that no-one so far has said anything about not using filters? I protect me lens with a lens hood - one should be attached permanently to your lens.

even with lens hood, water or other liquid could still splash on the front of your lens, or someone's finger/fingernail could accidently touch or scratch the lens, then u'll cry

i have my filter and hood on most of the time
