Film And Travelling

Ah that's great. Thanks! I shall then lug my stock of film on my way to Houston then.

Long flight that sector. I dont think you go through any machines if you are transiting. I dont remember getting off either. At least I dont recall.

When I was on that flight a year ago, I did. The way the Moscow airport works is odd though. I think there's one set of x-ray machines, and then a second hands on security check.

The worst case is to ask for a physical inspection, but I would imagine that in recent times, they'd be mildly paranoid especially after the recent bombing.

So far in so many years of travelling with film I've not had incidences of fogging. But I've never carried more than 400asa. The last hand inspection I asked for was in India where I was carrying delta 3200. They were nice about it.

Hand carry scanners are okay. I went to multiple countries in Europe, scanned at airports and at museums. Came back to Singapore then another time at Malaysia. Think my films went through about 5-6 times x-ray. No issues.
