Seeking a photographer but doesnt have to worry about photography skills? Just doesnt sounds right...
Dear All,
Thank you for reverting. I'm quite amused by some of your comments here.
Pardon me if i sounded "feminist" in my initial post. I definitely have no qualms abt using ALL types of photographers. And by this, i really have to emphasise it's regardless of gender, physique and age.
But pls try to understand if there's no cause, there won't be such an effect. The truth is, i've actually made appointments with 3 photographers (yes, all male...) last week and only 1 turned up @ my office! How should such irresponsibility be accounted then? I was just thankful that it wasn't an arranged meeting with my Committee, but just me. It would be difficult for me to explain why the other 2 photographers did not turned up @ all. From our spoken conversations with the 2 "Missing-In-Action" (MIA) dudes, one even claimed to be running his own photog. biz, while the other was keen even tho he has a full-time job as a graphic designer.
It was not right of me to state i only wanted female photographers next, but given such attitude and irresponsibility, i was really mad and went on to advertise for female photographers next, as women by nature are really more responsible and more meticulous with pre and post-photography procedures.
i end this thread with this for all to reflect:
Anybody can be passionate abt photography. But not many survived as professional photographers. Why?
Don't blame the market forces of competitiveness, cos' everyone stands an equal chance.
That is, if they really care enough for the initial exposure.
