As a frequent user of the CS Buy and Sell forum, I have some feedback and suggestions regarding the forum. I thought it would be useful to share some of them here to help the admin and technical team gain a better understanding of some my observations and the user experience that I have with the forum. Just in case, in the next upgrade of CS the technical team wonders what to include, please do consider some of my suggestions.

1) Incomplete text Search

I realized that when an incomplete string is entered, the result is always empty. For example if I want to search for '580EXII' and I type '580', I get an empty result. Only when I type '580EXII' will I get the right results. This is a little inconvenient because of the inconsistency that a name of the product is being written '580EX II' or '580EXII' or '580EX2' etc... The same is true for other products such as 'E 420' or 'E-420' or 'E420', etc.

2) Closed thread in the Buy and Sell section

I would like to suggest that in the buy and sell section, the closed threads be moved to the back of the list or maybe moved to another section. It would be easier for users to browse through only the open threads. This will be less confusing, sometimes even after threads are closed sell get messages from interested buyers.

3) A dedicated Button for easier thread closing
What would be a nice to have is a dedicated 'Close Thread' button rather than having to go through the drop down menu. Upon closing, maybe users can be prompted for a reason - 'Item Sold', 'Item Withdrawn' or 'Error in the Post'. I noticed that some users either do not know how to or are just too lazy to close the thread. Some of these threads are just hanging around after the user posted that the item has been sold.

second that, the search function is not very user friendly.
as for the thread closing, it would be a plus to have those function

incomplete text search is a common irritant. This forum could include the google search within vbulletin please?

if not, stick to google site search for now or use <24-70L site: http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/> in google search. the results will not be limited to the buy sell only but the whole forum.

There's also the problem of changing of the buy sell to a Classified mode of posting. I could have bidded a lens ay say 1.8k, sms the seller and there's no transparency in the bidding. He tell me highest bid is now 2k, i LL must up bid or loose the lens i am bidding for. For all you know, he's setting the price to his liking and if 2k does not fall through, all he hs to do is start a new thread and say last buyer fly aeroplane and try his luck again from 1.8k again.
