About 2 weeks ago, the rubber ring around my R2A's eyepiece started to disintegrate, so i tried searching for a replacement. Googled and found the that the eyepiece for the Nikon FM2/FM3a/FE bodies would be a direct fit.
Went down to TCW and bought the eyepiece from Nelson for $10, and then I decided to go one step further: the same eyepiece is required to fit the Nikon DK-3 eyecup onto the FM2 etc. So, after mounting the eyecup, focusing does feel a lot easier. I don't know, there's something about this look now that makes it look really sexy. I must've been a submarine captain in my past life or something.:bsmilie:
So here we go: Total damage - $23 (only Nikon CSC had stock for the DK-3)
