up till now, i still haven't buy... never mind, just use 70-300 fake macro to shoot soft pictures :bsmilie:

Btw, that coin shot was taken with reversed 24mm lens on extension rings thus the high magnification.

I used to shoot butterflies with just the 90mm... and dun forget there is a crop factor for the APS-C systems...

i think you probably just got blue glassy tigers and tigers.. those seem half-dead most of the time..

i think to get the imperials ( so pretty!) need at least 150mm.

actually I got about 57 species of butterflies then.... I made a list.

Now have not shot butterflies for a long time.

Those you'd need a 200mm at least and very good fieldcraft... :bsmilie:
