Event's Photographers Needed

i got one more question. are you paying by per photo basis or hourly basis? cos it seems that min is 100 photos, so i assume its per photo basis?

what if out of this 5 hours job, i took 500 photos but the other selected photographer only took 100 photos to meet the min requirement, will we be paid the same or i will be paid more (if based on per photograph basis)?
 

no offense but the one that post the request is also the photogs, and each of us "non profesional photogs" have to somehow come up with our own printer to print out not less than 100 photos at our own expense without certainty whether the payment will even cover the printing cost + labour(or even get paid lol), and there's 15000 + TS to compete, wah i think i'm more than happy to pass off this "opportunity" :bsmilie:

try to provide more necessary information upfront... save yourself and others some trouble of reading and writing..

1. Beside taking photos, Photographer needs to carry a printer to print photos on the spot. Minimum 100 photos for this event.
are you providing the printer? paper and ribbon? is your printer reliable? able to spit out 100 prints within the event? and what if your printer failed, will the photographer will get paid?

Yes, Printer and all consumables will be provided by us. All printers are new, and we also have few extra printers to backup. No issue to achieve 100 photos, we tested during last similar events. :cool:

2. Every photographer will be paid. No voucher or any kind of substitute. Only CASH.

4. Professional Photographer please ignore this thread, we cannot afford your service for this event. Let others have a chance.
Well, I think everyone can understand. the professionals usually will look for more lucrative assignments.

Fully agreed. Some quoted S$ 200 per hour. :confused:

5. Cancellation? How to? This project involves at least 15,000 people.
Since the event so big scale, why you need to withhold the necessary information like what event and venue? where can you hide 15,000 people in Singapore?

I am really sorry about this. This is part of the requirements by the customer. Can’t take risk. :)

6. No after event activities. Download all images to my laptop and collect payment.

Estimated 5 hours = 300 Mins

Photo taking + Printing = 2.5 Mins each.

If you are able to achieve 500 images and Print 500 photos in 5 hours, I pay you double. I can cut down 4 photographers and save cost.

I have experience in event coverage. But looking into building up portfolio.

cos if pay by hour and pay by per photograph, there is a BIG difference. If u read again what i am trying to ask and say. Because i read that u seems to be paying by per photography or per lot of photos instead of hourly rate.
 

Hi Dennis,

You may quote us your rates on each photo, hourly or per event. We will review and decide who we should work with. As I have mentioned, we do not needs professional photographer. If you are under the "PRO" category, we can't afford it. Please let some amateur photographer have a chance. All I need is quantity with minimum acceptable standard will do. If we have good budget next time, we will definitely consider you. :)

Hi All,

The Event - BMT Graduation Parade.

Date - 8 January 2011.

Photographer Shortlisted - About 20.

Photographer Selected - 10.

Photographer Confirmed - 7. (At This Moment)

Photographer Fail Security Clearance - 2.

We will be contacting the rest of the Shortlisted Photographers to fill in the 3 position by Wednesday (5 Jan 2010).
