A couple more food photos to share. More fresh lobsters sourced directly from the local fishermen and home-cooked. This batch was steamed with ginger and onions.
See how far out from the shoreline the fisherman is fishing. This beach has a lagoon too and the waters are clearly very shallow and maybe low tide also. The waves break quite far out and are oh so gentle.
Beachfront homes are out of reach for many of us, but some of the lower-income locals do happen to have their modest homes right on the doorsteps of their country's beautiful beaches.
A picturesque church at the most northerly point of the island at Cap Malheureux. This area is supposedly very popular for outdoor wedding photoshoots.

Baking like lobsters, but they sure love their picnic in the sea.
La Roche qui Pleure in the South. No idyllic beaches here, very different coastline. Cloudy hazy day. I am grateful for that man who showed up fortuitously while I was shooting this. Otherwise it would be a pretty boring picture!
Black River National Park. There are slightly different climates at different parts of the island. Some areas are drier than others, and some get more wind, while the central areas tend to be a few degrees cooler as they are located higher above sea level. This particular area tends to be wetter than average. Finally got some sun on my 3rd visit to this same place in 3 days.
