Error Message on D80 - "Err

thanks for the post. at least now i know what to do if face this for my D80. looks like cameras nowadays are not made to last with all those electronics stuff. btw. congrats on the coming baby arrival.

Its seem like a common problem for D80, if you don't use it for a while, the aperture control unit will somehow give error. For me, the error comes 1 to 2 months after the warranty.

My camera is almost 3 years old now, and this is the first time I've brought it in with any problems, so I don't think it's too bad. But I do wonder if it's because one has to continuously use your camera to prevent this malfunction from taking place. I'll ask the technician tonight and give you guys an answer so you have a better idea.

Make sure you keep rushing them to get the camera ready on time!

Camera is ready for collection today. I think they tell you that it takes 10 days, but they can get it done in 2. And when they do, you're "surprised" and "pleased" at how fast their service is. Regardless, 2 working days is not too bad all.

when search in google...so far only D80 seem to be more common with the problem.

D80 is a heavily-used camera mah...
Recently I saw the statistics on photo site pbase... most-used camera for the uploaded photos was D80. haha.

Hi, my D80 oso showing the Err but without r11 codes at the right bottom corner..
