EPL2 and Vintage Lenses for Bokeh

Anyone got any sample pictures of PEN + canon fd 50mm f1.4??

For vanity reasons, what old lenses are silver in colour (besides Leica) to match with my Pen, lol.

Most of the older lenses do come in chrome/silver. For 50mm, the slightly newer Canon ie 50/1.2 and 50/1.4 come in panda shades (Chrome/Black)

So chrome would be Canon, Nikkon, Carl Zeiss (There could be fake Jupiters masquerading as CZ) and the Jupiters in LTM mount. Cosina Voigtlander did make some very lenses in chrome but they are rare. Konica did make some lenses for it's Hexar line of rangefinders which are basically M mount. Of cos there's always Leica to fall back on... both LTM and M mounts

Carl Zeiss still makes its rangefinder lenses in M mount these days.

Anyhow, this was taken on my ZM 50mm/f1.5. At wide open, and at ISO 250, the results are sharp and bokeh creamy.

Great lens and great pics. Did you get the lens off ebay? Hard to check on the quality of the lens and I am worried what you get may not be what you see on the ebay ad...

That's the thing about buying from ebay, it's a hit and miss affair. Of cos you can go by normal indicators like reputation, description and the pictures to get a rough idea on the condition. Just be prepared to get it CLA. In the case of really terrible damage, you can try to raise it with the seller and in the worst case, file a claim with paypal.

I bought my lens at B&H when I dropped by NY last January.

If you are willing to pay GST and some shipping, you can take advantage of the weak USD. It turns out that it's still cheaper than the prices you get locally for CZ ZM lenses.

Just order the Canon nFD 50mm f1.4 & the fd to m4/3 mount from ebay... cannot wait to play with the new len..

The lens arrived today but no adaptor yet... Lens shipped from US faster than the adaptor from hongkong.. Sian man

eBay from hk is very slow. I only buy from us unless no choice. If u buy from rainbowimaging, they ship from USA to SG. I bought a minolta MD to m4/3. Fast. 8-9 days from USA.

Finally the adaptor came.. Currently still fooling ard with the lens as new to manual focus..
