bro or sis out there, anyone willing to selling dynax 9 here? :)

saw some 2nd hand D9 on display at TCW, but quite expensive.

but me still thinking to buy a Dslr or normal slr like dynax9

Have a look at Dynax 7 if you do not really need the Dynax 9 built quality. In many ways, Dynax 7 is more advance than the bigger brother

Dynax 9 is far superior to Dynax 7. Had the opportuity to try both at the Minolta showroom in Funan last year. The focusing on the D9 in dim light was very fast and spot on. The D7 hunted forever, and eventually couldn't do autofocus at all......:bsmilie:

I recommend you look at the usual 2nd hand shops like TCW or buy it from overseas like Adorama/auctions sites. May be difficult to get it from local 2nd hand directly from the buyer.

thanks bros, i guess D9 is also a collector item that why it difficult to get seller locally...

is any bros here still using film camera? and why? cos me deciding DSLR or SLR:sweat:

LOL, I'm using both Dynax 9 and 5D. Film and digital. Both are great cameras. I think, it depends on your purpose---what is your end product in mind? Digital images? If so, I think you should go for digital. Saves you on scanning the pictures afterwards.

I bought the D9 only because I prefer film colours and want to venture into colour slides. And the kick of owning a pro-body at a low price. LOL

There's are some very well discussed threads posted in Clubsnap asking about why people prefer film vs digital, or not intending to get DSLR etc. Do perform a search. You'll get a better mix of answers rather than starting another similar thread.

Same lens? Or different lenses?

Uhmm.. just sold my D9, because I haven't use it for a while and only using my D7 and D7D. I don't want to wait for 3months before I can get my D9 upgraded so I can use with my SSM lens, hence off it goes.

Film or Digital, it is all personal preferences. Film is more delightful to use and shoot and the result almost always better (because it is expensive, you put more care on shooting it).

As for digital, you always get the result so quickly, there is no sense of waiting for the final image.

Both are just tools, just choose the one you need and enjoy, or better still get both.

I use both a dSLR (5D) and a film SLR (Dynax5).
Film for wide angle (full frame) and digital (1.5X crop factor) for telephoto.
Having both gives all my lenses 2 ranges and extends the range coverage with fewer lenses.
I do not have AS when I use the SLR but it saves me from having to get ultra-wide angle lenses.
Of course, I also get to have a backup camera no matter which body I decide to use for shooting.

bro hart, how much u sold ur D9? anyone of u noe is selling it off?
