Dropped my poratble hdd!!!!!!!!!

help.

i accidently my portable 2.5" hdd and and have some data and photos in the hdd.

i have managed to retrieve some of them out and half of the data is still inside. now i cant move any folders from the hdd to my pc. i still hear some vibrations on the hdd . is there a away get the rest of data out??

Sorry to hear about your accident. If you can hear some vibrations then it is not a good sign. If the data is really critical, I suggest you send it to a professional recovery service like CBL Tech (http://www.cbltech.com.sg/) or MicronDR (http://www.microndr.com.sg/) just to name a few. The cost may not be cheap but should be work the money.

In future, I suggest keeping the hard drive in a padded casing to prevent accidental damage. Most of the new hard drives (Seagate, Hitachi & Maxtor) can take up-to 5-7G shock. I personally buy Toshiba hard drives and put them into a casing of my choice (usually one with shock dampers if possible).
