May be you may want to consider Nikon 6T diopter (available with 62mm filter size). It's a double element closeup filter which will give you almost 1/2X mag at 105mm. Cheaper and as equally good as the reverse 50mm setup.

Ext tube wont cause any vignette, nothing to worry about f-stop.

Roughly how much does the Nikon 6T cost?
This may be a good choice for my Nikon coolpix 5700 as i already hv the 62mm adaptor.
