My brother in law has been doing voluntary work for the past 14 years and he would like to make a difference for the old people in Singapore.
Below is his plan and i hope that we can all make a difference for the people who need our help.

Hello People,
I like to assemble a small team to help me implement a novel idea that has been smouldering in my thoughts for a long time. For this small idea to germinate in a big way, I need a right mix of skills, experience and enthusiasm.
Over the past 14 years, I have chalked up adequate experience to believe that my idea will work and over the past 3 months, I have done sufficient groundwork to ally us with a leading Voluntary Welfare Organisation (VWO) in Singapore.
However, I cannot do it alone. I want to do it with a team.
This idea is about the Elderly, the lonely Elderly there are 7,800 of them in Singapore. Nobody can predict the future but we do not need an oracle to tell us that in the future, wed all be old. Perhaps lonely.
This idea is unique, never been done before in Singapore and the VWO has confirmed it for me hence their support.
I have christened this team as The Sliver Calvary of Singapore with the tagline We will Reach to You. Maybe think of it as the famous Medecins Sans Frontieres.

Dramatis Personae - Team of Four Required (excluding myself)
1) Web/Blog/Facebook enthusiast who can tame the technicalities and bring about a visual impact.
2) Photography enthusiast who can immortalize a perfect moment with his trigger
3) and 4) Strategists who can think out-of-the-box to increase public awareness using their social networks. They will double up as co-ordinators until we think there is a need to increase the size of the team.
If you think that you want to commit your valuable skills for the next three months (not full-time of course), have a passion to make a difference to the lives of the lonely Seniors and share a vision that we will succeed, please email me at gtyl6688@gmail.com
I need to roll it out soon and I will need to close this first window on 18th December 2009. Please help me to spread the word.
With this pro-bono project, we will not struggle to think about what to do during mundane weekends again. Emotional dividends guaranteed.
