DJI Ronin thumb controller - useful or not?

Cathay has stocks of a few Ronin accessory that I would like to get my hands on, but this I find particularly interesting as it costs a mid-avg $293

Still need opinions on this thumb controller product, it could clearly enhance the operator's workflow by enabling pan/tilt for him/her.

But do most operators here share the same opinion? Or would it be wise to save for a wireless follow-focus system?

Haha for what DJI is charging for the ronin, It should be included in the price!

i actually find it quite useful for one man operation esp when i need it to be tilting towards certain direction. ordering from DJI is much cheaper. free shipping if there is a shipping order of min $300. should be able to receive in 2 weeks' time.
