Discuss: Video Editing Freelancing

Hi,

I'm new to freelancing editing, haven't done any freelancing yet as firstly don't really know how to quote client; secondly, other than editing software, what other requirements needed (system, musics source, SFX, VFX, steroe mixing...etc)?

What services do you guys ask from client? Or would the clients provide any facilities.. etc..

Can any of the experts be a mentor for me? :angel:

I'm now working in a production company, Using FCP (as well as at home). I also familiar with premier pro, and a little bout AE.
Have done 2 series of tv drama, 1 mtv, 1 travel log and several corporate video.
i'm thinking to start off with small project to earn some extra living but i duno where n how to start.

Try advertisting yourself around? But I feel there's more potential if you could advertise yourself as someone who could take charge of productions instead of simply video editting.
