Is there a diff betw. the DigitalCab and Bossmen technology ?
Any recommendation ? Which is more reliable ??

Though of going car4 or DigitalPoint to buy tonite ...

Mi oso thought of buying one...
went to car4 but found most smaller capacity using analog meters...
only the 60litre one use digital one... but tink 60litre abit the too overkill....
so... in the end dunno how to buy... :dunno:

Bossmen is using analog.

Digital Cab is using digital. Just brought 1 today. $109 (include delivery). Brought direct from the supplier. 5 yrs wanarrty.

I think Car4 is selling Digital Cab @ $99 (that's 2-3 weeks ago). Don't know still have or not.

I use a expert be4. He ask me to buy Digital Cab. Reason: don't know.. didn't ask

I brought direct from their supply digi-hub @ $109 with delivery & GST. Come with 5 years warranty and 1 year warranty for digital LCD hygrometer display.

got the 30L DigiCab from Alan photo on Sat at $110.
Seem like they only have 30 & 70L. The cabin dispaly is digital.
Also, got the Lexar WA 40x512MB at $185.

All reasonably priced.....

Dont know if this would be helpful. I got the 60L Deluxe one yesterday at $168. Most of the others seemed to have analogue (altho there shouldnt be that much of a difference).

Question is how would u maintain the Dry Cabinet to be within a specific humidity level?

I think after u have adjusted the knob to yr desired setting, and u don't opened the door, the % will maintain +- 1-2%...i think...

By the way, my warranty card don't have the deader stamp, in this case Alan Photo, does it matter ?? Receipt enough ??

Don't know... mine also does not have the dealer stamp but I brought directly from the supplier.. so should not be an issue.

BTW, what is yr of wanarty look like?

the card look like? ==> 1 customer and 1 Dealer copy. Simply a stamp of the model on the description part. Think i will juz fill in the rest of the detail, & mail back to DigiHub. Think can leave the Dealer Stamp part blank since have the receipt...

I have a Bossmen 50L.
Just to share my experience with the Bossmen dealer with your guys.

One day I found out the the red LED in the bossmen is "off" and I thought that the drying unit has finally fail after 6-7yrs.

I call the dealer and told them that I would like to buy a drying unit from them cos my 6-7yrs has fail. To my surprise, they told me to bring mine down for an exchange, "FREE OF CHARGE"

BUT...... when I was about to remove the drying unit from the metal casing... I discover that I had accidentally unplug the power.. My unit is working fine after all.

And it still does a good job after 8yrs++.

i use a bossman 60L now, just changed from a digicabi 30L recently. my bossman uses a analog humidity meter which i found to be totally inaccurate. as per instructions on the manual, i let it run for a while b4 putting my cam equipment in. the analog meter reads 60% humidity even tho i've turned the dial to the lowest humidity settings. i thot it was faulty and wanted to return to mscolor for a replacement. however, after reading some past threads abt the inaccuracy of an analog meter, i went to homefix to get a digital hygrometer. guess wat... after letting it stabilised, the digital hygrometer reads 27% humidity! :bigeyes:

guess the bossman was okie. just that the analog meter is horribily inaccurate. so, pls bear in mind if u're buying this?

I think most of the analog meter are inaccurate, regardless of which brand we are using..

I think, we should buy a case base on the brand and the reliablity of the drying unit. not because it has a digital meter.

With a good drying unit, it will last you yrs (mine 8yrs++)

A cheap meter is only around $25. but if you buy a case with a lousy drying unit, you will need to spend another $100+ for a new one or if under warranty time and money on transportation will be waste to send it for repair.

Good point! I'll recommend Bossmen as they specialise in storage business. Go to their website and you can find they make all sorts of storage for precision equipments. Digicab is a generic brand, this Singapore company just buy the humidifier from overseas while make the cabinet in Singapore, assemble it and sell.

same for me!!! Haha, the humidity percentage seems to increase at night and fall during the day? hmmz..hard to stay within the range.. I guess you need to observe a few days w/o opening the door to more or less prevent the humidity level from fluctuating.

Trying to put one of the 2 piece of metal on the 1st "rest" of the 30L
DigiCab, but having difficulty in putting it. It is somehow blocked by
the drying unit. Anyone have any idea how to get it done ? :dunno:
