Did I over paid

the older A300 is a better camera than the A330.

Besides a better handling and grip, it has a dedicated AEL button, which for some unknown reason Sony removed it from the A330.

Good price. Welcome to the Alpha family.

price is ok.

but missing cable is something not so good, go and ask for cable

My USB cable is still in the box. Never used it before. I'm just using the card reader. Never had any problems yet.

My advise is not to worry too much and just enjoy shooting.

Just curious, what if everyone said you overpaid? What would your next course of action?

Simple....Sell it away at a lower price at B&S and tell myself "sucks" following action is to buy a new set (No more used system) and of course buy a higher model to satify myself and then carry on shooting, forget the pass and treat it as a lesson learned.

Everyone learn from mistake. Smile away as the one sold you at those higher price cannot get rich with that small amount. Let him smile, he is happy and I'm happy too.

This is the way of life.....Happy........:bsmilie:

Am still using the A350. Was not using it much in the last two years. After attending a beginner course in photography, I am beginning to appreciate the features in the DSLR. I will keep shooting using this cam till I find my limits. Currently the camera is serving me well.

350 for a DSLR start up....and you question if you overpaid?
Do you know how much a low end compact camera now cost? ;p

A low end Lumix LZ10 is only S$130 and a sample shot at night w/o flash is acceptable:- (Not even a LX3)

Not bad at all for travelling.

Yes, you have over paid. Something must be wrong with it somewhere. There must be hidden problems. What a waste of money.

If you think a Sgd130 compact is good, then stick to it. Why pay 220 more for a Dslr?

You probably shouldn't take these as a way to judge the camera's performance..all these photos require reasonable equipment and skills to work... if you wana test your cam, you should shoot static objects/scenery etc as test shots...:)
if you really wana test it with your long focal lens, then find some animals that are slow...ha
