out of curiousity, what would happen if i took color negs and developed them with d76, then using the normal other required chemicals? is c-41 the only process, or are there alternative expiramental methods for color negs? my darkroom knowledge is limited to black and white.

i tried dvping a Kodak C41 roll in b/w chemistry (Tmax developer) once to see what would happen. the negs turned out kinda brownish instead of the orangey base you get with C41 process. very unprintable negs...

i don't know whether it will produce potent waste?

C41 b&w can be done in b&w chemistry. For instance, Ilford XP super can be souped in Diafine, fixed and washed, so long it is rated at EI 250.

This is because Ilford XP Super does not have the orange mask like Kodak TCN400, or even the Kodak Portra BW (which was a joke and discontinued). Scanning wise no problem, printing these trying to print negs with orange mask/base in darkroom gives u very flat print.
