i'll tend to look in the direction of conventional photography, so my comments is based on that preference.
i think if u take away the colors and post processed texture, the composition does not take a solid form with which stilts are often a difficult subject in my opinion, especially for its tendency to be exposed to too much surrounding space. moreover, the boat is pushed all the way to the side in the darker midtone area. so overall, the intention and the subject of interest is difficult to be determined.
let's say from your title, u wanted to emphasize the light, with which in that case, the contextual elements can all be placed towards the edge to form the border foreground, rather than a subject in the middle. and in the situation to emphasize the light and the nice clouds (cirrus?), it may be more favourable to use or keep to natural looking colors. the olive green sea color and the overall yellowish tinge is not very comfortable to look at.
the processed texture is fine though, but is of secondary importance. there is also a slight tilt down on the left, which i cannot determine if it is actual or apparent. but either way, it will look better if corrected
my friend says i always give my 2 dollars worth. but if u disagree with my opinion, feel free to do so.
by the way,
shattered beauty looks better. how abt learning how to post your pic here, better for intereaction.
