hehe yeah. but the flare and vignetting results were interesting. i always knew 17mm lens was a flare monster, but didn't know the 18-70 was so much less prone to it. and you can really see how much difference the hood makes on the G lens.

i find it really odd that the G vignettes more though it's a fullframe lens. but the effect really isn't very obvious.

Haha...the kit lens...

The 17-35G was made for the film days and edge distortions are well controlled.
The 18-70 is for DT digitial CCD imagers and so far it serves its purpose and its design intent.

Its a keeper and after using it for the first time Hari Raya outing with my family....All I can say is that this lens is a true Keeper.

i was equipt with :
- dynax 7d+
- Kit lens(18-70)
- a portable printer.
- 5600HS
- 3600HS

Just nice....and this was what i got form my own family portrait before we move on to relatives homes.

ok! so i buy all your lenses with my 18-200 hor ;p

17mm is really not wide enough still... really prefer 16mm... hopefully there will be affordable 16-50 or 16-80mm lenses on the market soon... the CZ is really looking very good but will it be affordable? i.e. <$900...;p

hmm how does the performance of the kits lens compared to 17-35 non G version??
