To see what we mean you need to set the camera to FX so that regardless of lens mounted it will capture in FX. The other guy said the Tokina DX 12-24 covers FX at about 18mm. The Tokina DX 10-17 fisheye can cover FX at 15mm onwards. So can the Nikon DX 12-24.
In other word, some DX lenses can be used as FX, at least in terms of coverage, not talking about quality of capture. Some cannot. Sigma 10-20 cannot, it has to be used in DX crop.
I am using my Tokina DX 10-17 as an FX lens, at least until I can get an FX fisheye.
