D700 or Sony A900 (same price)?

Dpreview has just posted some stunning ISO 200 shots from the Canon 5DMkII (beta). Amazing what 20+ megapixels can deliver in terms of centre resolution! But, as Isisaxon noted, the corner resolution leaves a bit to be desired, even with the best L lenses -- but only when viewed at 100%. I'm quite sure 20 x 30 prints would be jaw-dropping...

Hmm.. So even the L lenses are not spared from the corner aberrations... :think: I thought Canon would have fixed that since they have FF bodies for quite a while now. Plus they have the advantage of a larger diameter mount.

Anyway, if you're not viewing at 100%, it defeats the purpose of having more megapixels.. no? ;p Remember, the filesize will double for only a 1.4x improvement in linear resolution.
