I provide customised one-to-one printing services for fine art digital printing on an inkjet printer.

No more walking into a shop and have someone disappear behind a door only to come out later with a less than satisfactory print! You may, at your preference, observe the entire process and what you see (on screen) is what you get (on print).

Why inkjet printing?

This is what digital printing is about today. Inkjet machines for fine art photographic printing uses pigment inks, which are fully archival and have great longevity. The technology promises a very wide colour gamut for photographic printing. Moreover, such printing allows photographers to choose from a wide variety of paper surfaces in the market. If one is printing on fine art archival paper, which is often the case, print longevity is easily in access of 100 years. They have the longest known lifespan of any kind of printing.

The customised service is for me to offer my expertise and a fully colour managed system to maintain the colour appearance from monitor to print. This one-to-one service is essential as each image is different, and some papers can indeed reveal subtle details which a wrongly selected paper will not.

At this point I can print on paper that is 17 inches for the width and length is dependent on the image. A2 plus size (17”x25”) is about the max ISO standard size I can print to. Papers range from all the top brands, Epson, Hahnemuhle etc. Surfaces include various matte, glossy, fine art rag papers and fibre based glossy papers. The latter is known for its beauty and ‘look’, emulating traditional silver gelatine papers. I ship in many of my own papers with are NOT available anywhere locally.

I offer various paper surfaces for selection. My one-to-one service also allows the discerning photographer to have a feel of samples so as to best select the type of paper which works best for him/her.

Prices vary from paper choice and print size. Prices are very reasonable. Large orders have special discounts.

If you need printing for an exhibition/personal portfolio, do contact me. Students have special rates.

Good News:

I am offering the Harman Glossy FB AI paper for those who are interested. It is one of the latest in a series of Firbre papers by Harman and is truly a beautiful glosy paper. Nanoporus surface also makes the prints the sharpest of any.

This is review expounds on the qualities of the paper and highly recommended for those who are intersted in the new line of fibre based baryta glossy papers.

At the point of writing this, I am currently the only fine art printer offering this excellent paper and the first to test it.
