ninelives, may I know why you asked the question? Both will still need paste isn't it? Is it that AMD emits more heat and one will need more paste? Sorry, just asking.![]()
for Intel CPU, it usually come with the HSF. so you dont really have to apply compound paste .
unless you dont trust the HSF and buy 3rd party one.
yah, mine has one. typical heat sink + fan in a frame with two while levers on both sides.
troublesome to remove , lah.

I just removed the HSF from my Intel chip a few weeks back to clean the heat sink and change the thermal paste. Can feel the air coming out of the CPU is cooler now.![]()
last time i bought my AMD, dont have HSF one....must buy separately. don't know about now.
