haha it is time to throw my DSLR and go for Prosumer cam. :bsmilie:
*waits with open arms* :bsmilie:

Back to topic: nice capture! And eye-catching title as well. :D

 GREAT shot.

I know how hard it is to take these guy's up close, as they are an especially jumpy species of dragonfly. Took a similar shot before, but against a grassy background so the colour contrast was not as good as your shot. Nice work!

very excellent shot . right timing and right techniques. Bravo Zulu

Prosumer camera got Macro and Super Macro mode and furthermore C750 got 10X zoom power.

Haizzz. My 70-200 len is equal to 112mm till 320mm but the minimum focus distance is 1.2m. So I can't shoot Macro :(

Get a Macro lens lar. Not necessarily Canon one, can be third party. For e.g Tamron 90mm SP 1:1 Macro is a proven and excellent lens for macro photography. (Some of the bros. here using it). Costs abt $590 new.

Alternatively you can get a 500D closeup filter to attach to your 70-200 f4...not sure if there is a version with 67mm thread size tho...

Wanted to get EF 100mmf2.8 so i can use for other purpuses too cos faster with USM.

If I add a 500D to 70-200f4, what the minimum focusing distance? And it became 1:1?

There should be a 72mm 500D available so can just use with a 67-72 step down ring but I heard it about $200+...

500D is +2 while 250D is +4
so 500D is around 50cm focusing distance and 250D is around 25cm.
The Canon EF 100 USM Macro is good because of USM and internal focusing but its optical quality should be a bit behind sigma 105mm EX Macro and tamron SP 90mm.

Wow thanks.

Btw, majere2sg, if u were me which options will u opt for? Option1 much more cheaper. :D

1. 70-200f4 + 500D + extension tube

or

2. Sigma 105mm EX Macro
