Cost of Printing Posters

Hi,

Interested in printing a few posters but not sure of the pricing and how long itll take.

I want to print B2 Sizes since besides A4, i can find an easy-fit frame from Ikea.

Anyone knows where i can go to and roughly what is the price like for B2 Size? Any 1-day or few hours job service?

Btw, must i send in a max res and as requested dimensions format to the shop?

There is a lot of large format printing hses/shops at peace center and along selegie area... u might wan to go dwn and ask ard the price... normally take 1-2 days, depend whether they are busy or not...

300 dpi should be enough. Should not take more than an hour, unless you are on queue. Go see shops at Sunshine Plaza or Peace Center......

Ink jet prints does not last long. Maybe 2 - 3 years under bright light condition. After that, it starts to fade.....

300dpi is standard but what abt the dimensions? Can i send in something which is relative but not of the actual size? For eg, A3 size, i send in a PSD in A4 size instead?

Note that A4 and A3 has different aspect ratios! Cropping would probably happen if you give a A4 ratio file to be printed as A3. I printed some stuff at Bras Basah before also, not sure which shops offere better results/price though.

Oh yeah, thanks. Aspect ratio was the word i was thinking of. So, would it be okay if i want to print B2 size, i give something 50% of the original dimension?

What's the largest size do most shops do instantly?

The most takes around 2hrs, print size up to A0, cold lamination with glossy or matt finishes, 300dpi is sufficient enough. Note that they will convert to CMYK before sending for print.
