Contrast filters for printing

Hi guys
I was wondering if anyone had experience using contrast filters for printing (darkroom)?

My enlarger came with a single filter (I think it's grade 5? I'm not familiar with the terminology). It is a light pink/red filter which increases the contrast. I was considering buying a set, however would appreciate any advice anyone here has first.

Anyone have any experience with these? Any suggested work flow to using these filters in addition to get the best prints?

Contrast filters work hand in hand with Variable Contrast Photographic Papers, are you using graded papers or Variable Contrast Photographic Papers?
