Following the announcement of the Canon XF400/405 and the Sony RX10 mkIV, videographers can now finally enjoy reliable autofocus in 1" sensor cameras. This is so critical for 4K recording.
Canon's Dual Pixel Autofocus has proven to be a trustworthy technology for videoshooting and sony has demonstrated it's mastery of touchscreen Phase Detect AF with the A6500.
RX10 mark IV certainly will be the first to marry touchscreen and Phase Detect AF in a 1" sensor sony camera.
Hopefully, Sony will be announcing phase detect AF camcorders this year. But for now the RX10 mark IV will be the flag bearer for Sony's new technology.
