HI dear frenz, any recommendation for great spot light for video recording.
I need to record videos in classrooms and sometime void deck thus at time light is a factor.
Thanks In advance..

I would recommend a simple not so expensive CFL continuous light light setup... You can go DIY and make one yourself or buy a kit.

DIY

Buy kit

Both should be able to help you get good lighting without spending thousands for say a kino flo professional setup

Depending on how directional a spot you need:
You can try Aputure Amaran AL-528S (note: S for spot)which is an LED panel (non-focusing )
See spill pattern here:http://vimeo.com/67378671
If you need a tighter circle: Koll Solari has a compact plastic lens fresnel.

If you need a snoot like pin spot, I'm using a American DJ or Chauvet pinspot LED.

comes in battery powered versions too:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kmvzq2HLolc&gl=SG&hl=en-GB
Dedolight LED DLED2 and DLED4 are expensive but very versatile and can give you very sharp edge spots.

But for extra long throw with little spill: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iE5wRLCstDw
I often use a NightCore TM26 as an onboard camlight for long distances.

Caveat: CRI of Nightcore and American DJ/Chauvet LEDs may not be very high.
Flourescents will not give you a spotlight effect.
Do not use floursecent or LED if you cannot manually control shutter speed on your camcorder/ DLSR
as color banding may occur at shutters other than 1/50.

If you need small panel led light, i recommned the aputure AL-H160 with CRI95+ which produces beautiful soft light. Low-budget led that works pretty nicely!
