Contax G1

I just bought a Contax G1 body from eBay, but find it difficult to pair lenses with, it seems it only take G mount lens from Zeiss. Can anyone point me where to get these lenses or adaptor?

Hi, from what I know, only G lenses can be used on G bodies, you cannot put G lenses on other bodies (there is a company in Japan that converts G lenses to M mounts but at a very high cost on the order of US$600 or so) and you cannot mount other lenses on the G body. This is what I know

Having said that, G mount lenses are relatively cheap and I have seen a couple at The Camera Workshop in Peninsula and on ebay.

You can mount the 35mm, 45mm & 90mm COntax G lenses on M4/3 bodies via adapter. I do sell them.

ah.....that I didnt know....chiif, what about the other way round? are there adaptors?

Nope. There is a little knob for you to do manual focus.

As Dan mentioned, no adapter. Have to send to Japan for conversion. Remember, G1 lenses are autofocus also. In terms of quality, I think some as good and some better than Leica.
