hmm.... why not state the pricing for the labs as well for a better comparism.

I believe and imho:

One of the barriers to true price transparency is because there is an official retail price from Kodak/Fuji etc. In addition, the labs have an unofficial understanding to refrain from price based competition.

Therefore, shops actually prefer pple not to publicise their true prices else they get into 'trouble'.

Just got my 120+ prints w/o corrections done at Digipro (with profiles of course) from drycreek. Consistent and vibrant colours. Quality is exact match from my previous batch.

Anyway, they have a new package (via coupons) for digital users. $55 for 150 prints. Also, for every 20 prints, u get 1 free album and index print. Also, choice of one other free option like VCD, 8R etc( sorry can't remember the rest).

Rgds.

the prints are always cropped very slightly at this lab even though the shop owner uses fit in. he doesn't know why also. they are very nice people and very very good price if you talk to them a bit. i get $1 for 5R $2 for 6R for digital images and no handling charge for express service. The other time I needed some prints so urgently they waited half an hour for me after their closing time and charged those above prices with no handling/express charge.

Yes. I noticed it in mine too but it is slight. How many mm is the crop in your case? I will go home and measure mine.

From drycreek, there is documented cropping behaviour of the Frontiers even if the ratio is exactly correct. It is abt 2mm.

Hi Fundee,

- Are they using the new Frontier machine?
- So 4R is 30 or 25 cents ?
- Do they give any free 8R reprint for every new roll printed there?

Thanks.

Just to tell you guys:
RGB has revised their pricing.
I sent in 2 rolls of NPH 400, and this is their new pricing.

Developing: $3.60
4R - $0.49/pc

Subjected to 4% GST.
But I got 15% discount, so its on par with Colour Lab...

Hi

I wanna share with all of you that this shop, Hotprint at china square has very very good print outs. I personally feel that it's better than Konata. I used to go to Konata but after trying Hotprint, i stopped going to Konata.

This lab is located at China Square and the owner is a guy named Raymond. The charges for a digital 4R is $0.50 without any processing fees. thier big print outs are very good and was amazed at some of the shots displayed at the lab.

anyone tries out their services and agrees with me, please post yr thoughts here.

Over here in Malaysia, the digital prints 4R are getting cheaper every week.!! Now it's only RM0.50 (yes, 50 cents malaysia = 25 Sing cents), no open file fees....min of 100pc only...

How much is cheapest 4R in Singapore?

Any of them in JB?

Might consider doing so prints when I go over and pick them up on the way back.

Preferably a Fuji Frontier.

I just went to E-color today, or at least I think I did.

This is because I went to Balestier point, a pink building, adn went to #01-09. The shop was called "e color". The outer glass wall was covered fully with large posters showing the services they did.

I went in, and saw a computer on the right, and a white counter on my left. The first person behind the counter looked at me, and then looked another way. Busy with his work, I guess.

The next guy at the counter then looked at me. Here's our conversation.

Me: "Excuse me... can I know your prices for doing digital prints?"
Him: "Don't have!"

That's funny, I thought this was a recommended shop. So I asked,

Me: "Er... do you do digital photo prints at all here?"
Him: "No! I seldom do consumers!"
Me: "Thank you."

Did I go to the correct shop?

Nobody stand up for CitiEye??

Stand Alone Printing lab... using Kodak Gold for small print, Fuji for Bigger print...

the way he control skin tone WINS MOST lab in S'pore... for portrait photographers... u will not waste your trip and time if u look for him...

those who are meeting me next few days will have a chance to see... i have prepare a set of digital print and a set of CitiEye print for u guys to see...

the Boss, a pro photographer himself... giving SAFRAPC student a special rate that can CONFIRM cover your transport to and fro from his lab at AMK Ave 4.... once a student, always his member...

u WILL not have a chance to reject his print as he will reject before u....

using conventional printer...

So where're they located exactly? AMK Ave 4 is pretty near my place. What're their rates like?

The Digital prints at RM0.50 per 4R is available in IPOH only. I guess KL maybe have some that cheap. I cant comment on JB since i dont live in that ugly part of Malaysia.

Just sent my photos to 3Up color center at Toa Payoh Central. They charge 35c per 4r flat rate, and take 3 days. Kodak Royal paper. We'll see the quality.
