Clubsnap App for WP8?

Hi,

I have been a member of your site since 2006. I read the articles and posts from other fellow forummers regularly and enjoy every bit of it. When I was using the iPhone, there was an app and it was very convenient to do it. However, I have since moved on to a Nokia Lumia 920 running on the Windows Phone 8 OS. To my disappointment, I cannot find your app in the app store. I did the next best thing by reading the articles and forum posts using the IE10 but it is not very convenient. I also tried your mobile site but there is no way for me to go straight to my subscribed forum and I have to scroll all the way up and down to do that.

Is there a plan to launch an app for WP8? Interestingly, I am using the Lumia 920 and it is the best phone camera in the market now. The pictures from my camera can certainly match some of the better cameras in the market today. I want to share my views with all the other forummers and I hope to do it from my phone. You should also consider that WP8 OS is fast catching up and the number of users is increasing very quickly. This is a great time to get in the action!

I sincerely hope you will consider making an app for WP8 soon. Thanks for your time in reading this.

PS: In the mean time, is there an alternative way for me to conveniently access my subscribed forums?

By 2016 (3 years away), WP8, *may* have an 11.6% market share according to IDC (as compared to the current 2.6%). That's still pretty small and 3 years away.

Convenient alternative? Uhm. Hmm. Maybe consider android?

Or why not program your own CS app?

If you say so. I program on all 3 platforms so I may disagree with you there.

Nevertheless, my reference was for WP8 - just program your own CS app.

If I have a developer account and the time, I would. Since you are a programmer yourself, why not help out your fellow clubsnappers with our WP8 phones?

Because I find WP8 awful, and don't want to waste time coding on it.

Yeah, I find it to be quite bad and limited in it's customization.

FYI, the CS apps are developed by ForumRunner. So maybe you should contact them and request for ports to WP8.
