Just wanted to check if anyone is interested to share shipping to get this item in.

The DUZI is at USD $375.

The international shipping is around USD$110. If sharing, will be $126/2 = USD$63 each.
*3 pcs, the shared shipping even cheaper around USD$47 each ...

If anyone interested, just post in this thread and we'll move from here. I'll prob wait a month and if no interest, will just ship it in myself.

Cheers

All this sliders in the market are for moving the cameras in a straight line.

Is there a slider that makes the camera goes 360 degrees in a circle ?

Thanks

yes. there is

yes. there is

Really, that's good.

Can I know where I can buy it ?

Bcos all the shop that I went to, they wanna sell me a dolly with a track. That is too bulky and cumbersome.

I just need a slider but instead of sliding in a straight line, it slides in 360 degrees.

Thanks

this is off topic here.

please start your own thread instead of asking different question in other people thread.

Haha. Pretty off topic but there is no 360 slider as you will getting the slider in the shot. Completely useless if that happens.

But there are curve sliders in the market. And usually pretty overpriced.

That's also the invention of roller wheels that u can attach cameras from pico. Completely useless unless u use it only on very very smooth surfaces.

Hmm was thinking of getting edelkrone slider because of its small size now this looks like a interesting proposition.

I wasn't convince by the edelkrone slider ... If you use sliders alot, you will realise that acceleration of the movement during sliding can be a problem and it seems like user's video and even some of their own videos have this problem.

Due to the design, i think there isn't much 'resistance' force that allows you to hold the same acceleration thru out ...

If u seen joe simon's video on his kessler stealth you will know what i mean when you slide with your body to maintain acceleration, i think its not possible with the edelkrone due to the design ...

Anyways, too much tech talk ... ahaha ...

I think this slider will be a bargain compared to the stealth @$1.4k if you can do without the 'kessler resistance knob'...

Thanks for the tip bro.

Never worked with sliders before, will keep in mind what you said if I ever get one.

Just an update of my purchase of the DUZI V2 … (With all the extra features like improve locking, side bumpers, a few hundred grams lighter, etc)

Documented a little bit of my unboxing .. Here are the pics

Same nice box from my previous Atlas 10
The box with the slider was very light … Very surprised … Came 3 days after ordering … Super quick.

Slapped on my trusty 701 immediately and its awesome …

I sold my Cinevate Atlas 10 cause it was too heavy but i was always looking for something from Cinevate as they make really good products.

IMO, i felt it was even better than my buddy's Kessler Stealth which cost more than twice.

Cheers!

Don't come into this thread and try to sell your korean sliders ... Its so obviously u are related ...

No offense to korean sliders, they are good for their price but nowhere near cinevate's or kesslar's quality ...

And some of them are overpriced (like philipbloom's) but not DUZI ...

Sorry to say but I'm just sharing what I saw from mass sales thread and I meant no harm and I'm not anyway related to them ..

But I would like to know why is Korea slider not anywhere close to Kesslar ?

Is because of build quality or performance?

You have 1 Korea slider before ?

Currently I'm using 1 but so far been using for quite sometime and no problem or issue yet ...

Gentle reminder.

TS is asking anyone interested to co-share shipping cost of this Cinevate Duzi Slider, and if you have any questions on OTHER sliders, please start your own thread for discussion.

it is impolite to crush into other member's thread for off topic discussion.

some time some members might don't mind this, but does not imply is a right thing to do.

The Slidecams and Konovas are replicas of Cinevate's Altas rail system. (I've no idea why cinevate didn't throw a patent)

I've both the Altas and the Slidecams before ... The Slidecams bearings are easily displaced if there are any knocks on them, after that, the sliding will have sticky issues no matter how well you oil or adjust them.

Some people might be ok with changes in acceleration while sliding, but i'm not a fan. Slidecams have this problem and i've buddies who have the same problem after prolong use. Konovas are slightly better but their prices are higher and might as well top up to get the real deal.

Cheers

The different companies target different markets.

Products from Varavon (and other similar manufacturers like Konova) are targeted at the the lower-end of the professional market (or high-end of the hobbyist market graduating from DIY... haha), who are likely to have lower payload/durability requirements. So lower specs, less heavy-duty, allows them to offer a lower price for price-conscious customers. Generally, build quality is still fairly high for what you're paying.

Kessler/Cinevate make higher-end products for the professional market, who are likely to have higher payload requirements, and willing to pay for top quality and higher specs. In any case, if you wanted a slider that is compact, lightweight and rated for more than 30kg payload, there's actually nothing from Varavon that fits the bill. In fact, if you compared the Duzi to the Varavon ENG Plus that takes a similar weight (above 30kg), the Duzi seems to be offering more value (unless you really need the 1m length of the Varavon), and is lighter (ENG Plus is 7kg!).

Bottom line, as consumers, we get to choose what we need (I use a Konova K2 and it serves me well, for now :)), and that's a good thing.
